Partnership Manager
Partnership Manager - Berlin Global Dialogue
Established in 2022 at ESMT Berlin, Berlin Global Dialogue unites leaders from business, government, and academia to develop joint solutions to the most pressing challenges impacting the global economy. Our annual summit convenes a select group of high-level participants for candid exchanges on equal terms and in interactive formats. Previous participants include President Emmanuel Macron, former Chancellor Olaf Scholz, as well as other Heads of State and Government, Ministers, and CEOs from over 70 countries. Founded by ESMT Professor Lars-Hendrik Röller, former Chief Economic Advisor to Chancellor Angela Merkel and G7 & G20 Sherpa, Berlin Global Dialogue is embedded in ESMT Berlin and the annual summit takes place at the historic campus in the heart of Berlin.
To strengthen our Berlin Global Dialogue team, we are looking for a
Partnership Manager (gn)
(full-time, to start as soon as possible, 1-year contract with possibility to extend)
responsible for managing relationships with sponsors and funders (partners), ensuring their successful integration into the annual Summit as well as overseeing the planning and execution of side events throughout the year — from the partner perspective.
How you will make a difference
The Partnership Manager (gn) ensures that deliverables are aligned with BGD’s strategic priorities, executed smoothly, and communicated effectively. This role combines relationship management, project coordination, and strategic support in fundraising. The core responsibilities include:
I. Partnership Management
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for Berlin Global Dialogue partners (sponsors and funders) and manage these relationships throughout the year.
- Coordinate all aspects of partnership implementation around the BGD Summit — before, during, and after the event.
- Lead on partner-specific project management, ensuring that all deliverables and milestones are met on time and to a high standard.
- Prepare briefing materials and summaries for partner interactions and internal stakeholder meetings (e.g., Strategic Council).
- Support the development of tailored communication materials for partners, ensuring messaging is timely, consistent, and strategically aligned.
- Ensure partner visibility across BGD channels and events
II. Side Events
- Lead the planning and execution of side events throughout the year from the partner’s perspective — ensuring expectations are clear and the implementation runs smoothly.
- Collaborate with the Program team on the development of concept, content and speaker suggestions, ensuring alignment with both partner interests and program standards.
- Coordinate with the Communications and Events teams on logistics, production, guest management, and post-event deliverables.
III. Fundraising
- Support the Managing Director in shaping and executing the fundraising strategy.
- Develop and maintain pitch decks, proposals, and other fundraising materials.
- Contribute to identifying and engaging new sponsors and funding partners.
- Coordinate with the legal and finance teams to manage contracts, invoicing, and payment processes.
- Support the exploration of additional fundraising opportunities beyond the annual Summit.
