DEEP – Institute for Deep Tech Innovation is ESMT’s innovation hub dedicated to amplifying our ecosystem’s ability to generate and scale science-based businesses. We empower scientists to commercialize technologies, support deep tech startups to scale internationally, and connect research organizations with the startup and innovation ecosystem effectively. DEEP runs dedicated programs in Healthcare, Natural Capital, Compute and Cyber Security – from mentoring programs, co-founder matching workshops, ecosystem event and educational formats.

Join our DEEP Team as a

Manager Programs & Events

(m/f/x, full-time, 40h, to start as soon as possible, limited for 1 year)
 

• be responsible for co-planning and running (future) DEEP activities, such as incubators, accelerators, entrepreneurship education formats and events, across our multiple verticals, including the management of communications, schedules, tools & resources, venues, and supplies in close collaboration with our domain experts.
• own the project management (such as site processes and timeline planning for CDL-Berlin) and make sure that we excel at program operations and internal as well as external stakeholder management.
• take responsibility for operational and administrative tasks, such as managing participants and guests, session operations (virtually and on-site), collecting and evaluating feedback, managing program budgets, invoicing, supply management, etc.
• be a strong everyday promoter of all DEEP activities and our overall value proposition for the ecosystem

• Have successfully driven projects or managed programs, ideally within entrepreneurship environments such as incubators, accelerators, or educational initiatives and are deeply curious about emerging trends and technologies.
• Have delivered programs and events of different sizes – whether virtual, in-person, or hybrid – and thrive in adapting formats and tasks to their audiences.
• Are a super-organizer – action-oriented, resilient under pressure and you flourish when juggling competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Combine dedication and attention to detail with a passion for planning, are pragmatic yet heartful, creative in solving problems, and shine when bringing structure to chaos.
• Navigate tools like Airtable and MS Office with ease, and you’re always exploring ways to improve efficiency and quality.
• Are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Are flexible with your working hours, knowing that delivering high-quality programs and events often requires staying until the work is truly done.
