Join our team at the newly established European Expectations Center, under the leadership of Professor Michael Weber, PhD and sponsored by the Humboldt Professorship as a
Predoctoral Researcher (gn)
(full-time, 40 hrs./week, starting in July 2026, 3 years, renewable once for up to 6 years)
and help shaping the future by bringing your expertise and passion to ESMT.
How youll make a difference
- Support ongoing research projects by gathering, compiling, processing, and organizing large datasets
- Help conduct statistical analysis
- Proofread and edit research reports, working papers, and publications
- Maintain effective communication with all members of the faculty and external collaborators
- Support organization of the annual conferences and associated PhD workshops
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Behavioral Sciences, or related fields
- Strong quantitative background and analytical skills
- Proficiency in conducting statistical analyses
- Familiarity with at least one mathematical/statistical software
- Previous research experience is an advantage
- Fluency in English is required; German language skills are an advantage
- Intention to pursue a doctoral degree
