You will

  • Be responsible for the architecture design, technical implementation of projects and changes in one (or more) of the following areas of expertise within higher education: CRM, LMS, SIS, other enterprise business systems (accounting, facility management, HR systems etc.). 
  • Develop and refine system architecture to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability. Review and propose changes to our system's architecture to streamline operations of business areas and facilitate automation and reduction of repetitive manual tasks.   
  • Lead the implementation of technical solutions from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.   
  • Provide a strategic focus on data integration between systems, supporting data mapping and documentation.  
  • Engage in vendor-partnered work to bridge capacity gaps if required.  
  • Building relationships and interactions with stakeholders, such as key functional areas like accounting, marketing, student service, admission, business development, program management, is a key function of this role.   
  • Building bridges between technical solutions and functional areas, support functional areas understand critical system dependencies and adapt workflows when required.  
  • Support functional areas optimize data usage across departments for better insights. 

You are qualified for this position, because you have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. 
  • Minimum five years doing systems architect/project work. Experience with technical data architecture, data governance or data management work is a plus.
  • Experience in managing projects related to business processes, enterprise software, and/or other integrated business and information systems. 
  • Project management skills, especially leading and coordinating cross-team functional projects. A tech consulting background is a plus.  
  • Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills. 
  • A familiarity with leading CRM systems like Salesforce/Hubspot, or leading LMS and SIS.  
  • Experience aligning the architectural design of heterogeneous systems.  
  • An understanding of working in higher education enterprise environments, including working with CRM or SIS and their connection with administrative systems like accounting systems.  
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a broad array of people. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus). 
  • The ability to think strategically and come up with a big picture and roadmap for system and data architecture.  
  • An service and improvement-oriented approach to work. Adaptive to institutional needs without losing sight of the long-term objectives.  
  • Experience in staffing and budget planning for projects.  
  • Worked effectively with diverse academic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of students, faculty and staff.
