The Career Development Manager of ESMT’s Career Development Center guides Master and MBA students in developing their career plan, as they work towards their first or next career step. The Career Development Manager provides guidance and support via career counselling and career development workshops as well as by connecting them with potential employers, through on- and off-campus networking & recruitment events.

For our Career Development Center Team we are looking for a

Career Development & Employer Relations Manager
(m/f/x, 40 hrs./week,1- year contract, based in Berlin)

• Advise and coach MBA and Master students on the preparation of their job search strategies, application materials, and interview techniques for internships and full-time positions.
• Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of careers curricula and career development programs and coordinate related workshops and events with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. scheduling, logistics, and student communication).
• Develop and maintain workshops, events, tools, and resources that support students in developing their career plans and employability skills.
• Build and maintain relationships with ESMT students, alumni, and selected external stakeholders to support student career development and employability.
• Design and deliver workshops and training sessions on career-related topics.
• Contribute to the development of networking opportunities for students through employer contacts, alumni engagement, company visits, and events.
• Collaborate with the Employer Relations & Events team in the delivery of networking, recruiting, and employer engagement activities.
• Support data-related activities, including maintaining career platforms, tracking student engagement, and contributing to reporting and analysis.

• 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Have experience in career services, recruiting, executive search or HR, and advising/coaching candidates
• Have experience in building networks and interacting and communicating with customers
• Have solid knowledge about the German/European business landscape and job market, and curiosity about market trends
• Have very strong people skills, empathy and enjoy connecting with smaller and larger groups of people, e.g. during networking events
• Pay attention to detail and apply a high level of accuracy in creating material (e.g. presentations)
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a big plus
• Are flexible to host events in the evening and to travel for events and networking
