DEEP - Institute for Deep Tech Innovation - is ESMT’s innovation hub dedicated to amplifying our ecosystem’s ability to generate and 
scale science-based businesses. We empower scientists to commercialize technologies, support deep tech startups to scale internationally and 
connect leading research organizations to connect with the startup and innovation ecosystem effectively.

DEEP is running targeted and ambitious activities in the fields of Healthcare, Natural Capital, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Compute. 

We are seeking to hire a 

Venture Manager “Compute”

(m/f/x, full-time, 40 hrs./week, starting as soon as possible)

• Co-manage the Creative Destruction Lab “Next Gen Computing” in collaboration with our partners at HEC Paris
• Serve as the primary point of contact for DEEP’s Compute vertical, engaging with a network of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders, and scientists
• Help build an exceptional support ecosystem and program experience for founders and innovators in the computing space
• Lead the recruitment and selection of the most promising (future) deep tech startups
• Act as a visible and vocal advocate for our programs within the startup and innovation ecosystem
• Support program delivery and session operations with a proactive, hands-on approach

• thrive in startup like environments where “building” is more important than “managing”, “executing” beats “conceptualizing” and uncertainty might surround you 
• have a track record at the intersection of entrepreneurship / innovation and high-performance computing / quantum computing / artificial intelligence  / or similar
• have initial experience in managing teams 
• are familiar with the operations of startup accelerators, incubators, mentoring programs and alike
• have managed complex stakeholder environments through strong service orientation and very good communication skills
• are well-organized, able to multi-task, and meet deadlines while paying attention to details
• are fluent in spoken and written English
• are flexible regarding working hours and able to stay calm in stressful situations
