Multimedia Designer (Educational Technology & Learning Innovation)
(m/f/x, full-time, 40 hrs./week)

How youll make a difference
- Create high quality multimedia learning content, including videos, animations, graphical assets that align with pedagogical best practices:
- Pre-Production: Collaborate with learning designers, faculty, and clients to develop media content, determine the best media formats, provide technical support for learning platforms, and consult on media solutions for Degree programs and Executive Education
- Production: Set up and manage filming environments, operate equipment to capture high-quality footage, and ensure consistency and reliability in production outputs.Train stakeholders in producing their own high-quality assets and manage their completion of production tasks
- Post-Production: Oversee editing, ensure continuity from scripts/storyboards, and create final media outputs with dialogues, graphics, and effects following style guidelines
- Collaborate with the Learning Innovation Lab and key stakeholders to research, pilot, and implement evolving instructional/media technologies and processes—especially AI, media and VR/XR tools—to enhance innovative, effective teaching and learning
- Help the team and stakeholders to manage the learning management system (LMS) and related instructional/media tools and applications for all aspects of the learning experience
- Conduct user testing, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instructional technologies and media tools used by various stakeholders (faculty, learners, staff)
- Collaborate with the team to consult, train, and support faculty and program teams through one-on-one consultations, workshops, and training sessions; develop and maintain manuals and guidelines for media and instructional technologies; and provide Panopto/video-software support—including managing the asset library, giving user feedback, and performing edits and corrections as needed
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years professional experience in multimedia design, digital education or related field —including using instructional technologies and multimedia tools for teaching and learning
- Proficiency with media production (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Figma, Canva) and web-based tools for digital learning
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio, including experience with editing software and graphic design packages
- Solid end-to-end media production expertise —from pre-production through post-production—with demonstrated experience in camera operation, grip, and sound, as well as in supporting subject matter experts to deliver high-quality educational media
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, D2L) and APIs, SCORM, and LTI standards
- Knowledge of Web Accessibility Standards
- Native-level or equivalent English (C1/C2). Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to own projects from start to finish and prioritize and run multiple projects at once while consistently meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
- Learning agility and self-direction. Experimentation mindset (comfort testing new approaches)
- Experience collaborating with hybrid teams, with a proactive, agile, and collaborative working style
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. User-centered and data-informed mindset
Ideally, you also have:
- Ability to develop and implement technical solutions through basic coding and light development
- Experience with AI-driven tools, interest in VR/XR applications and emerging technologies
