Alumni Relations Manager
(m/f/x, full-time, to start as soon as possible)

Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, you are responsible for the planning and implementation of projects and processes that strengthen alumni cohesion and engagement, providing benefits to alumni, current students and our school.

Your main tasks will be

  • Managing of and working in close cooperation with the Alumni Council and regular contact with other alumni volunteers and initiative leaders on whom the school can call upon in accomplishing the ASPIRE strategy
  • Continuous evaluation and further development of our Alumni Engagement Program
  • Leading or collaborating in appeals and campaigns to alumni
  • Planning and implementing alumni events on campus in Berlin and external locations, particularly the annual alumni meeting, MasterClasses and reunions
  • Assisting and tracking of alumni self-organized activities in regional chapters and interest-based clubs
  • Promoting the Alumni Engagement Program at student welcome days and graduation ceremonies
  • Maintaining the vibrancy of alumni communication, including the platform ESMT Connect, social networks and the regular alumni newsletter
  • Back-office activities, including database management and web-content creation
  • Managing program and event budgeting, internal and external reporting
  • Collaborating with the school’s program management, student and career services, admissions, communication, and the fundraising team

You are qualified for this position, because you

  • Are able to effectively build networks, engage volunteers, liaise and build rapport with alumni, current students, faculty and ESMT staff, and are able to work entrepreneurially, with creativity, judgment and sensitivity
  • Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, writing and presentation skills
  • Have a positive and strong customer service and social orientation
  • Have dedication and strong follow-through to deliver high quality services, processes and productive results
  • Have a hands-on working attitude, a sense of humor, and are able to keep calm in turbulent phases
  • Have at least a first-level university degree or equivalent; a relevant Master’s degree is a plus
  • Are completely fluent in German and English (the business language at the School is English)
  • Are experienced with CRM systems, and highly computer literate in MS Office
  • Are willing to travel for business

Preference is given to applications that demonstrate experience in maintaining an engaging relationship with alumni and a proven ability to work in a multicultural environment.
