Project Manager, EdTech Lab

The Project Manager works closely with the Director of the EdTech Lab to determine project goals and then independently oversee the lifecycle of projects, especially technology-enhanced course and program offerings. The Project Manager is the primary administrator of the learning management system.
 

Project Manager
(m/f/x, full-time, to start as soon as possible)

You will:

  • Collaborate on the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare the project plan (incl. scope, resources, schedule and cost) in collaboration with the Director of the EdTech Lab, coordinate updates to existing operational processes and identify new processes and procedures
  • Coordinate and secure commitment of internal and external resources
  • Track progress and manage any changes to the project scope, schedule or costs
  • Manage the documentation of and reporting on EdTech Lab projects and activities; designs and implements strategies for capturing and organizing the work of our team using digital tools
  • Coordinate cross-project activities and communication, including organizing stakeholder update meetings
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting and escalating risk to management as needed
  • Assure the reliability and consistency of projects by checking processes and quality checking the final output
  • Research and test new information and project management tools
  • Oversee the learning management system administration, training, user guides and vendor relation

You are qualified for this position, because you have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in agile project management, which can include relevant experience in academia, educational technology, instructional design, software development, or media production
  • Demonstrable interest and enthusiasm for the use of technology in education
  • Experience in quality assurance of technology-enhanced educational offerings
  • Familiarity and willingness to explore a variety of project management platforms
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), stakeholder management, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • The desire and ability to work collaboratively and virtually with staff members across teams and across multiple lines of difference
